| Mariner's
Compasses have been one of the most popular quilt designs
for many decades. I also find it is a very versatile block that
can be drafted in many different sizes and styles. I particularly
like to fussy-cut the center pieces so the center of the compass
has a kaleidoscopic design. I really enjoy drafting, so when I teach
my mariner's compass classes, I make my students draft their own
compass, make templates, and then piece them. No paper piecing for
my students! |
